Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) strategy and policy is overseen by an advisory board, currently chaired by the Hon Bruce Baird.

The Hon Bruce Baird AM

Bruce George Baird (born 28 February 1942) was a member of the Federal House of Representatives from October 1998 to November 2007, representing the electorate of Cook, New South Wales. He was born in Sydney and educated at the University of Sydney and the University of Melbourne.

From 1995 to 1998, Bruce was Managing Director of the Tourism Council Australia.  During this time he was also chairman of the National Rail Corporation and a board member of ABN AMRO Hoare Govett, Tourism Training Australia and Tourism Education Services.

Bruce was member for the electorate of Northcott in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1984-95.  He was Minister for Transport from 1988-95, Minister for Sydney's Olympic Bid from 1990-93 and Minister for Tourism and Roads from 1993-95.  He was also deputy leader of the Liberal Party from 1992 to 1994.

Bruce was Assistant Trade Commissioner at the Australian Embassy in Bonn, Germany from 1972-76 and Trade Commissioner at the Australian Consulate-General in New York  from 1977-80.  He was Government Affairs Manager for Esso Australia from 1980-84.
