National Managers
The National Policy Director and National Managers are responsible for developing and implementing Tourism & Transport Forum’s (TTF) policy, advocacy and strategic marketing agenda, and for member service across TTF’s six pillars.
National Manager, Accommodation - Denise Kirk
Denise has extensive experience in the accommodation sector, previously holding positions at the InterContinental Hotel Sydney and as a senior hotel consultant with HVS International and Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality, completing supply and demand assessments and feasibility studies for new accommodation properties. Denise has also worked in the Cushman & Wakefield London office completing accommodation studies in the UK, Middle East and North Africa. Since joining TTF in 2009, Denise has been actively engaged with the accommodation sector of the TTF membership, running policy panels and forums to support TTF’s policy agenda.
National Manager, Aviation - Justin Wastnage
Justin has more than a decade of international aviation experience, garnered as a journalist for Flight International, Asian Aviation and Travel Weekly, based in London, Brussels and Sydney. He has been a consultant to companies including Booz & Co, Landor and the French Tourism Bureau on a range of tourism and transport issues. Justin has also been an expert commentator to various broadcasters including the ABC, BBC and Radio-Canada's Première Chaîne.
National Manager, Research & Projects - Adele Labine-Romain
Adele brings an international perspective to TTF, moving to Australia from Canada, where she worked as a Research Officer in the Policy and Research Branch of the Ministry of Tourism in the province of Ontario. She also served on the board of the Canadian chapter of the Travel and Tourism Research Association. Adele provides in-depth analysis of tourism and transport statistics to inform TTF’s policy and media agendas, and is a member of the Technical Committee advising Tourism Research Australia’s Tourism Forecasting Committee. Adele manages TTF’s relationships with our university members.
National Manager, Strategic Marketing - Amanda Clark
Amanda has extensive management experience across marketing and communications, particularly in major events and sponsorship. Her responsibilities at TTF include sponsorship, marketing and communication activities and her team manages events across the organisation including major industry events, conferences, boardroom luncheons, industry forums and policy launches.
National Manager, Tourism - Carlita Warren
Carlita has extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality sectors, having held positions at the Canadian Tourism Commission, Tourism Australia and Restaurant & Catering New South Wales. Carlita joined TTF in 2007 and since then has been actively engaged in policy panels and forums to support TTF’s policy agenda and is represented on various federal government tourism initiatives, including the National Landscapes Reference Committee, Cultural Tourism Taskforce, and the Sydney Indigenous Tourism Workshop.
National Manager, Transport - Trent Zimmerman
Trent brings 20 years of experience in local, state and federal government, which gives him an extensive understanding of the workings of government and politics. He was a ministerial adviser in the Howard government in the environment and heritage portfolio and most recently worked as an advisor to the Shadow Treasurer. Trent began his career in the NSW Parliament and he is currently a Councillor on North Sydney Council.
