“The tourism industry both nationally and in Queensland is still in critical crisis mode and we will relay our industry’s key concerns and challenges to Minister Hinchliffe as a matter of priority.
“We will also continue to work closely with the Hon. Mark Bailey MP in his ongoing role of Minister for Transport and Main Roads as the transport industry recovers from COVID-19.”
Other important reappointments include the Hon. Steven Miles MP who takes up the role of Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning along with the Deputy Premiership and the Hon. Cameron Dick MP who continues as Treasurer in addition to now serving as Minister for Investment.
Additionally, the Hon. Mick De Brenni MP takes up the role of Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen amongst other portfolios, likewise the Hon. Di Farmer MP becomes Minister for Training and Skills Development and the Hon. Meaghan Scanlon MP joins Cabinet as Minister for the Environment and the Great Barrier Reef, with both also holding other roles.
“Premier Palaszczuk stated yesterday that the focus of the Queensland Government remains squarely on the economic recovery and we will work closely with these Ministers and the Government more broadly on a range of pressing issues that will aid in this recovery,” Margy Osmond said.
