The Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF) Friends of Tourism Series enables members to engage and network with Members of Parliament who are the key decision makers within the realms of Tourism, Transport and Aviation policy. Staged as a casual cocktail style function, the Friends of Tourism Series aims to highlight the importance of our industry to the local, state and federal visitor economies.
The Friends of Tourism Series involves approximately 80-100 CEO members and Members of Parliament in an intimate cocktail function. Although numbers may vary, the functions remain intimate to provide a valuable platform for networking between TTF members and Members of Parliament.
Friends of Tourism events can either involve government or opposition separately or alternatively bipartisan events, which involve both government and opposition. Typically the events are held during Parliamentary sitting dates within Parliament House, to ensure Members of Parliament from all electorates can participate.
Currently TTF hosts Friends of tourism with government and opposition within:
- Federal (Canberra)
- New South Wales (Sydney)
- Victoria (Melbourne)
- Queensland (Brisbane)
- Western Australia (Perth)
- Northern Territory (Darwin)
