The Tourism & Transport Forum Australia (TTF) has welcomed the announcement of conditional approval for Crown Resorts’ planned six-star hotel resort at Barangaroo in Sydney’s CBD.

TTF CEO Margy Osmond said the development would enhance the tourism appeal of Barangaroo, which has already proved to be a hit with visitors following the opening of the Barangaroo Point Reserve last year.

‘’The conditional approval for this new development will increase Sydney’s luxury tourism stock and enhance the city’s reputation as a desirable destination for high-yield international visitors,” Ms Osmond said.

“Tourism will be the great economic driver and job-generator in the wake of the mining construction boom, and it is new multi-use precincts such as Barangaroo which will keep visitors flocking to Australia.

“The Barangaroo Delivery Authority is to be congratulated for reaching this major milestone in the project.”
